U.S. President Donald Trump has announced plans to withdraw from 66 United Nations and international organizations, including key forums focused on climate change, peace, and democratic cooperation.

According to a memorandum shared by the White House on Wednesday evening, January 7, Trump stated that the decision was made because the organizations and conventions involved do not align with the United States’ position.
Trump also added that, as a result of the U.S. withdrawal, all funding to these organizations will be cut off.
