This is a note for note bass transcription of A Thousand Miles From Nowhere by Dwight Yoakam.

I started with a copy of A Thousand Miles From Nowhere. I painstakingly transcribed all the parts note for note, and replayed them on all the instruments. I then went into the recording booth and sang the song, and back vocals. I filmed this process so that you could see how the song was recorded.

A Thousand Miles From Nowhere was written by Dwight Yoakam, and first released on his 1993 album: This Time
The Equipment used in this recording of A Thousand Miles From Nowhere is as follows:
Slate ML1 Microphone
The software is Cubase Artist.
The audio interface is a Tascam 208i
The Bass sound was created with a Fender Precision Bass, straight into the 208i.
The Guitars are a Telecaster, and a Blueridge Acoustic straight into the 208i. Amplitube 5 was used for amp emulation. (65 Princeton) A delay pedal was added to the lead part.
All vocals were recorded with the Slate ML1
Ozone 9 was used for mastering.
The video, and the recording, were produced by Abraham Myers.
