At about 4:00 PM tones went out for an active structure fire in Manasquan, New Jersey, reports of heavy smoke and flames showing from the rear and front of the building. Manasquan and South Wall were quickly on the scene to knock down the bigger fire, then requested Point Pleasant Beach FAST Team to respond at 4:15 PM. Fire crews were on scene for about 3 hours working to knock down the fire which seemed to stay in the attic. With the freezing rain, snow, and ice it was harsh working conditions for the crews. About 5 companies responded including Wall, South Wall, Brielle, Belmar, Sea Girt Heights, and Point Pleasant Beach. After hours of fighting the fire, they were able to get a hand on it and start sending companies home.
