Steps to how to perform a Controlled Emergency Swimming Ascent (CESA).
We are simulating that you have one breath left and with this one breath you must make it back to the surface. The most important steps to remember is to continuously exhale making a 'zeeeee' sound, and swim in a controlled manner.
This skill is performed in confined water which means it is performed whilst swimming horizontally. When you repeat this skill in Open water, you perform the skill swimming up to the surface vertically.
