The Greater Gauteng Learners Transport Organisation says discussions are ongoing on ensuring that the sector operates optimally.
The organisation's Bongani Ndlovu says they are against the impounding of vehicles by authorities, as the sector has never benefited from the taxi recapitalisation initiative.
He says they have been asking for assistance from the government for some time now.
