To take away all the old carts, I was surprised to see that Recology didn't hire a third party company to do it, but instead did it themselves. From my perspective, it wasn't the most organized, as they quickly figured out late Monday that 2 stake bed trucks unloading into a semi just wouldn't work for doing a town of 8,000 people. The solution? Bring out a bunch of supervisors in their pickup trucks to help out. Didn't work too well, because obviously you can't fit many carts in the back of pickup trucks, but hey, they did get the job done in just over a week. It also made for an interesting video, due to the excessive amounts of carts piled on the side of the road awaiting the semi. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get as much footage of the operation as I would've liked due to some circumstances, but I hope you all enjoy!
