I took London Northwestern Railway’s Class 730/2 train from Coventry to London Euston.
West Midlands Trains is operating Class 730/0 train, which is the family of Bombardier/Alstom Aventra’s latest version. Class 730/0 has a maximum speed of 145km/h(90mph),but LNWR’s Class 730/2 has a maximum speed of 180km/h(112mph)which is the highest performance version of Aventra train.
This Class 730/2 train is for a long-distance service between Birmingham and London Euston via Northampton at LNWR. There will be later operations between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly.
Class 730/2 was really clean and comfortable, and it is really stable when it speeds up to 180km/h than Class 350 series.
So it has a benefit to ride this Class 730/2, I hope more Class 730 series replaces old Class 350/1.
