Macrame feather leaf tutorial - Super easy & quick video - Great for beginners -

This video is edited to show you 22 minutes in 3 minutes. I have a slower version (11 minutes) you can view if you prefer a slower pace.


You only need:
Cord
Comb
Fabric Scissors
Hair straightener

Use 4 or 5mm cord to achieve the same result. If you use a smaller cord, add more pieces.


1) Cut 24 - 12" (31cm) pieces and 1 30" (70cm) piece.
2) Take 12 pieces and place them in a row, folded in half, opposite each other. 6 and 6.
3) Fold the long piece in half over the row, in the center. Secure with tape.
4) Take the other 12 pieces and work them 1 at a time. Fold it in half, pull the ends through the loop of a piece from the bottom row, grab those ends, and pull them through the top piece loop. Continue with all 12. Pull tight.
5) Slide it all up and tie a knot in the centerpiece.
6) Comb through it all by either separating the strands first or just combing it with a brush.
7) Straighten it, section by section, slowly.
8) Comb again!
9)Place a precut template over the feather and cut OR just freehand it.
10) Comb and cut a few times until it is perfect!
