Judy Garland live in concert at the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, July 20, 1968. Judy shared the bill that night with R&B great, Jackie Wilson and jazz royalty, Count Basie. Wilson opened the show and was followed by Basie. Judy made a surprise appearance during the Basie set when she came out and joined the Count and his orchestra on I Hear Music, The Sweetest Sounds, and Strike Up The Band, a medley that they had performed on Judy's TV show five years earlier (both of those performances have been previously posted by me and can be found elsewhere on Youtube). After Basie finished his part of the show several members of his band stayed on stage to augment the Gene Palumbo Orchestra in backing Judy, which might help in explaining why the uptempo tunes had a little more jump and swing than usual. Songs: Overture, For Once In My Life, Almost Like Being In Love, This Can't Be Love, Never Will I Marry, How Insensitive, Zing Went The String Of My Heart, What Now Love, The Man I Love, Make Someone Happy, Do I Love You, By Myself, That's Entertainment, The Man That Got Away, Rockabye Your Baby With A Dixie Melody, For Once In My Life (reprise), and Over The Rainbow.
