While attending the Ocala, Florida Sunshine State Coachmen RV Round Up in February 2025—and boondocking for three days—I started having intermittent issues with my generator charging the batteries and powering my Truma air conditioner.
In this video, I share how Mike Frawley from the RV Facebook group "Coachmen Nova/Pixel Class B RV Owners and Prospects" helped me troubleshoot the problem, which turned out to be a faulty WFCO 30AMP transfer switch. Step by step, I’ll show you how we identified the issue and how I replaced the bad switch with a brand-new one.
Bonus Tip: I also installed an extra interior shore power port to connect my portable power station from inside the coach—a perfect solution for quiet, generator-free boondocking when your house batteries get low!
