【分類】：哺乳綱 食肉目 アライグマ科
【生態】：くりっとした大きな目、丸みを帯びた耳、長い舌、長い尾をもつ。メキシコ南部からブラジルの熱帯雨林に生息し、長い尾を自在に操って樹上生活をする。夜行性で果実や花の蜜、昆虫、小型鳥類を食べる。長い舌は花の蜜を舐めとるときに役立つ。妊娠期間は112～118日、通常1頭を出産する。体長が約50cm、体重1.5～5kg。

[Classification]: Mammalia, Carnivora, Procyonidae
[Biology]: They have large, round eyes, rounded ears, a long tongue, and a long tail. They live in the tropical rainforests from southern Mexico to Brazil, and use their long tails to live in the trees. They are nocturnal and feed on fruit, nectar, insects, and small birds. Their long tongues are useful for licking up nectar. The gestation period is 112-118 days, and they usually give birth to a single calf. They are about 50cm long and weigh 1.5-5kg.
