Best hiking trails in Scotland | Cateran Trail | Wild Camping Scotland

The Cateran trail is probably one of the most underrated hiking trails in Scotland, even though it is one of Scotland’s Great Trails

We were looking for Scottish hiking trails to complete in a week, and at 64 miles, with its stunning landscapes in a mix of forest, farmland and moors, The Cateran Trail exceeded our expectations!

This circular hiking trail starts and finishes in Blairgowrie, and loops upwards through The Cairngorm National Park. There is a free car park you can use for the week at the start of the trail and the whole route is very well waymarked.
