Vintage sewing patterns for bohemian 1920s pajamas, 1930s wide-legged silk pajamas and pretty and practical 1940s pajamas show the evolution of women's nightwear as they swapped their night gowns for pajamas. But why did they suddenly start doing it in the 20s and why did it become commonplace in the 1940s?
