In this video, I take you along for 3 intense days of trail running and fastpacking through the breathtaking German and Austrian Alps — all part of my training for an epic adventure: completing the entire Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) in just 100 days.
The PCT is one of the longest and most iconic long-distance hiking trails in the world, stretching from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon, and Washington.

Total distance: 2,650 miles / 4,265 kilometers
Elevation gain: ~420,000 feet / ~128,000 meters
Average daily mileage needed: 26.5 miles / 42.6 km to finish in 100 days
Total states crossed: 3 (California, Oregon, Washington)
Longest water carry: 35 miles (in the desert!)
Highest point: Forester Pass – 13,153 ft / 4,009 m
Lowest point: Cascade Locks – 140 ft / 43 m
