“In case I make it,”: A Deep Dive (Part 1)

It’s finally here! Kind of. Will Wood’s latest album (outside of live albums and remasters) dives headfirst into a folk sound, approaching familiar issues of mental health and relationships with a gentler touch. Armed with a ukulele and piano, Willard is out to make us cry. And he succeeded. This video covers the first eight songs, from Tomcat Disposables to Half-Decade Hangover. The second part should be coming soon, but I know better than to promise any specific release date. After all, this video was made to commemorate us hitting 1000 subscribers, and now we’re nearly at 2.5K. Oops.

But seriously, thank you to everyone on both sides of the screen. Those of you who left nice comments and supported me over the past 6 months, as well as my writers and editors who I couldn’t have made this script without. To Doc for getting me into Will Wood in the first place. To kaleidocat for letting me sleep in her bed and eat her food. To Raven for being a real one. And to many, many more.

It was a blast to make this one, even though a sequel to the two videos that really got me started seemed daunting. Ultimately, though, I made this video with the philosophy that less is more. I didn’t want all the flashy transitions and goofy Earthbound sound effects. Sorry if that makes it a little boring, but especially for the more serious songs, I wanted to treat the matter with respect. Still didn’t stop me from being a little silly.
