This is the first day of my 22nd Section hiking the Appalachian Trail. Michele "Lipstick" Kirk and I were shuttled from Nature's Inn Hostel in Flag Pond, NC, a couple miles to Sam's Gap where we begin this 45.4 mile section southbound to Hot Springs, NC. We hiked northbound 25 miles this past June to Erwin, TN.
My friend Scott Low has generously allowed his musical to be used in the videos on this channel. He resides in Clayton Georgia. This past August, Scott won the single artist category of The Atlanta Blues Society's 2025 Blues Challenge, and Scott's new album, “Grateful Blues” is #10 on the Georgia Blues Chart. Scott is also a master fly fisherman, providing workshops on how to effectively catch rainbow trout.
