Hi dancers! Today we are learning how to do a pencil turn. This dance turn is a fun addition to any piece of choreography and can easily transition into cool leaps or even some floor work (hot tip: slide your pencil turn into a jazz split and voila!). I break down the technique needed to nail this dance trick starting from the pirouette prep (squeeze those turn out muscles babeh!), moving into the extension and arm positions, and then trying the whole thing a few times.
