This has quickly become my favorite way to analyze Bridgerton.

When I do another one of these videos that compares scenes from different seasons, you will see why it is also the major reason I push back on people who are so adamant that the writers now devote too much time to side stories, etc. (although I am always here for discussions on how side stories could be better executed). I discovered several months ago (I literally started making these side-by-sides back in October) just how much of a rubric the writers follow when plotting and pacing these episodes, and often in ways that seem to deliberately invite comparison.

This video (Part 1 of 4 discussing this pair of episodes) compares the first courting lesson and the wedding ceremony scene.

I admit that if you do not share my particular brand of ADHD, your mileage may vary with this video, but just let me cook for a minute. Also this one is just an intro and warmup. The other three parts will be released over the next week or two (I know I originally posted that they would come out in March, but consider that my early April Fool's prank, even though it was just life and other deadlines interfering with my plans).

After that, I have a half dozen more of these comparisons already planned/started, but they will be doled out over the coming months, interspersed with other projects. It's been far too long since I made a Polin edit, right? And I have a hundred other topics living in my head just waiting for me to clone myself and delegate.
