Songbird by Fleetwood Mac is featured in Rumours, the nineteenth episode of Season Two. Santana sings this song to Brittany in order to better express her feelings for her. She does not sing it in front of the rest of the New Directions, because she is afraid of what they might say behind her back.

During the performance, Santana looks teary-eyed and Brittany looks on intently. At the end, they both hug as Brittany speaks to her about coming on to Fondue For Two.
