God offers every one of us two inseparable free gifts—righteousness and salvation—given through Messiah’s faithfulness, not earned by our religious record. Romans 3:24–31 shows that righteousness is given to Jew and Gentile that releases them from sin’s power with zero room for bragging. Trust doesn’t abolish Torah (“Heaven forbid!”); it actually confirms it.
In Romans 4:1–9, Paul anchors this in Abraham and David: righteousness is credited through trust, and grace isn’t some “New Testament idea.” It’s woven all through the Tanakh (Old Testament).
