The Center for Labor Education and Research (CLEAR) Librarian will discuss the importance of Hawaiʻi labor history being preserved at the University of Hawaiʻi at West Oahu, James & Abigail Campbell Library. The talk will provide a subject level overview of the archival and library items in our special collection, how to access these collections, and other programs and services offered at CLEAR.
About the Presenter
Dr. Ellen-Rae Cachola is the Librarian and Digital Archivist at the Center for Labor Education and Research, UHWO. She has over ten years experience in archival research and practice, spanning community archives development and Hawaiʻi law archives management. She is excited to apply her experiences to help preserve and make accessible Hawaiʻi labor history at CLEAR. Ellen-Rae is a granddaughter of Ilocano plantation workers who settled on Maui.
