Africa Impact Summit 2023

The Africa Impact Summit was a collaboration between impact investing National Advisory Boards (NABs) across the continent who formed the Africa Impact Investing Group, as well as Bertha Centre for Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship and the Global Steering Group for Impact Investing. Headline strategic partners were Sanlam and Motsepe Foundation.

The event, ‘Unleashing African potential through Impact Investing’, which took place on 13 & 14 July at the CTICC, in Cape Town, South Africa, presented a platform for leaders and industry experts to share and exchange on the most critical topics tied to impact investing on the continent. In particular, the event explored collaborations between public institutions such as development banks, together with private sector actors such as impact investors and impact entrepreneurs, to ensure that more capital can flow towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and beyond.
