Welcome to Lesson 19 of our English course!
In this lesson, we learned how to talk about housing and renting in English, including types of homes, renting vocabulary, contracts, bills, furniture, and common housing problems. This lesson is essential for daily life, moving house, and communicating with landlords or agents.
Types of Homes
• house

Examples:

Rooms in a Home

Deposit & Rent

Bills & Utilities

Furnished vs Unfurnished

Viewing a Property
• Is the flat available?
• How much is the rent?

Real-Life Renting Dialogue
Tenant: I’m looking for a flat to rent.
Agent: How many bedrooms do you need?
Tenant: One bedroom, please.
Agent: The rent is £750 per month, plus bills.
