Noah Cline 2023 Online OT Banjo Contest Entry

My entry for the 2023 online OT banjo contest featuring Andy Agnew, Jr. on guitar and myself on banjo, playing a 3-part version of Ragtime Annie from the playing of Israel Welch, a cousin to my grandmother.

Andy has been one of my main links for Israel’s playing, having played a number of tunes and jams with him in his later years. Sadly, I didn’t get to meet Israel before he passed, but it’s been nice to have connections with Andy and others that played music with him.

As Andy has told me, the third part and ending tag are unique to Israel, with the third part being a bit lyrical:
