It all started on a cold morning in Scandinavia, where this mighty DAF gleamed like a metal giant in the polar sun. I had a heavy load; a valuable cargo that I had to carry through the icy roads and straight to Austria.
I climbed through the snow tunnels and foggy northern roads, the cold wind blowing around the cabin and the engine roaring like a wild but tamed animal, calm and regular. Every time I climbed the steep Norwegian hills, I believed more in the power of this machine.
When I entered Denmark, the weather warmed up and the speed of travel increased. The smooth roads, the magnificent scenery and the feeling of completing a great mission all made my veins race with excitement. After crossing Germany, the Austrian mountains finally appeared on the horizon, and that’s when I realized that this trip wasn’t just a load-hauling exercise—it was a real challenge that the DAF masterfully mastered.
When I arrived at my destination, everyone could see that this blue giant had not only delivered the load safely, but had also conquered the road.
