Opening Day For Finch West LRT Line (Line 6 Finch West)

We see Metrolinx 6507 (2023) Alstom Citadis Spirit 48m LRV is the First Eastbound LRV heading to Finch West underground station carrying the first public riders on Opening Day of the Finch West LRT Line (Line 6 Finch West). It is waiting for 6512 to crossover in the Portal area that is carrying the first riders to Humber College Station on an 10.3-kilometre trip servicing 16 surface station along the way. Metrolinx owns all the 18 LRV's for the line that was built by a P3 consortium that is responsible for the line for the next 30 years. After much pressure from the City of Toronto and the public, TTC was given a 5 year contract to operate the LRVs in place of the firm that was supposed to under the original P3 contract.
