Follow along as I photograph pristine fall colors among some remote and stunning landscapes in southern Utah!
Join me as I ride deep into Southern Utah, photographing fall colors in places I’ve had on my radar for years while elk call out their screams throughout each day! These are remote locations that only few locals know exist—hidden pockets of mountains, canyons, and aspen groves that rarely see other people, let alone another photographer.
As a full-time landscape photographer and long-time local, I spend countless days exploring every dirt road, ridge, and forgotten drainage in search of the best light and color. Each year, my good friends and fellow photographers, Seth Hamel and Andrew Hertel, come out here so we can ride for days and photograph parts of Utah we haven’t yet given our full attention to.
This year, Andrew and I logged hours of dirt riding to reach the spots I’ve been waiting years to photograph—and this trip finally delivered. Even with imperfect conditions, these locations exceeded every expectation.
