Once again, the Arabian Sea surprises everyone as traditional Raponkar fishermen pull in another massive catch along Goa’s coastline. This video captures a different day, a different tide — but the same powerful tradition of Rapon Fishing, one of Goa’s oldest shore-based fishing techniques.
As the long net is slowly pulled from both sides, fish begin to surface in huge numbers. Some are washed onto the shore by waves, while others remain trapped inside the net as fishermen and fisherwomen carefully collect the catch.
🎣 This is not commercial trawling — this is community fishing, where experience, teamwork, and timing decide the outcome.
