Is Christmas your favorite time of the year? It is definitely mine. Everything that goes along with the holidays....decorating, candy-making, gift shopping, family gatherings, and of course the celebration surrounding the birth of Jesus. For years, our family would read the Christmas story found in Luke 2 on Christmas morning before any gifts were opened. A cake (or sometimes a pie) was made for the occasion and we sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus before those gifts are opened. Most families have their traditions, but we must never forget that the whole reason for the Christmas season is to celebrate the birth of the most important baby that has been (or ever will be) born.
