This is a true story of patient who consulted me in my clinic..
She came to me with difficulty due to severe leg cramps since many weeks ..
On examination she is found to have very high blood pressure.. she is just 27 years old.. she was on medication for the same since six months started elsewhere.. but her blood pressure was not under control..
Blood investigations revealed hypokalemia ( low potassium levels) .. she was not on any diuretics..
Due to a combination of hypertension and hypokalemia possibility of conns syndrome was considered ..her 24 hour urine catecholamines were negative
Ultrasound abdomen and subsequently CT abdomen confirmed an adrenal mass
She successfully underwent surgical removal of the adrenal mass
Her blood pressure became normal there after and her potassium levels became normal..
She is asymptomatic and back to normal
