Arriva North East 1406 VDL SB200 Wright Pulsar 2 NK09 BPU in Arrivas Max specification, and wears a Max base Livery for a variety of Max routes is seen here operating MAX X1 service from Darlington to Tow Law in place of a Wright Streetlite. Service X1 is meant to be ran by 5 Wright Streetlite Max Micro Hybrid vehicles which are in Arrivas Max specification and Branding for service X1 between Darlington/Bishop Auckland/Crook/Tow Law. Three are fitted with the Euro 5 4.5Litre Cummins Micro Hybrid Engine These being NK15AAE/1590, NK15AAF/1591/NK15AAJ/1592. Two are also fitted with the Latest Euro 6 Dailmler Micro Hybrid Engine These being: NK15AAN/1593 & NK15AAO/1594. These vehicles have proven to be terribly unreliable on this service with problems occurring regularly. Service X1 was previously ran by 4 VDL SB200 Wright Pulsar 2s these being NK09BPF/1404, NK09BPO/1405, NK09BPU/1406 and NK09BPV/1407. All of these Pulsars wore Branding "X1-The best one". These pulsars were a much more Capable as well as reliable vehicle on the X1 compared to the Streetlites which were introduced on this route in March 2015. This Video was filmed on Wednesday the 12th of July 2017, at this time NK15AAE/1590 Was of service X1 for an MOT and NK15AAO/1594 Was of Service X1 due to Overheating problems.
