{PerfTest} Unrestricted Arriva Wright Gemini 2 VDL DB300 Voith | Kickdown

Returning to the PerfTest series we have… nothing that’s part the ADL family, but a carrier of the same engine that they commonly use. Today we have a Wright Gemini 2 on VDL DB300 chassis. Just like the majority of Enviro 400s these are propelled by the 6.7L Cummins engine, with an output of 250hp. They were only coupled with a Voith gearbox, and… like their sister chassis, the SB200, are known to be great performing vehicles, making all the noises and can get a bit ‘rev-happy’ at random especially with a heavy-foot at the wheel. This unit in particular has no torque or rev restriction on it, evidently ploughing through the gears like it’s nothing! Have a listen for yourself and see how these timings compare to a Trident with a ZF gearbox.
