{Screeching Turbo} Arriva Volvo B5LH Gemini 2 gets Ragged, topping 50mph on a Late-Night Deadrun

Here is the second Euro 5 Volvo B5LH to feature on the channel since Go-Ahead's WHV32... and one of a few HVs in London with a turbo leak... HV64! As boring a B5s may be after a while, it's only right we target the one's with character! Last time we had Metroline VWH2104 with a loud belt, but this time the racket is coming from the turbo. 😂
On full throttle, with the aid of the long, stretchy gear pulls, it does sound quite nice, and the whole 11 minutes contains a lot of thrash from a keen driver whizzing through empty roads. A few separable moments are 7:15 where the slight incline causes the bus to cycle through the gears rather than just shifting 3/4 times on level ground, and occasionally a few rolling pullaways after deceleration. All in all these Euro 5 variants have grown on me... I do still prefer the sound of Euro 6 D5K engine, but I can't deny that these PULL!
