Day 2 highlights:

Today begins with a practical guide from Dr Ann Enright on how to work effectively with your veterinary partners. Harry Eckman returns to discuss human behaviour change, exploring the question of how we get people to break old habits for better cat welfare. Jenny Cotterell expands on this theme by sharing her wealth of experience in achieving positive and impactful community engagement.

Up next is a panel discussion, chaired by Yaiza Gomez Mejias, with Agnes Dufau, Manuela Rowlings and Sarah Zito on how important it is to be respectful, to listen and find common ground when engaging with stakeholders with opposing views.

We then devote time to Cat Friendly Homing, for those people working to find homes for unowned pet cats. Lindsey Narraway starts by talking about her own experience of being coached to become a Cat Friendly Homing Centre. Kim Horsford, Lindsey Quinlan, Laura Watson and Nathalie Dowgray then talk us through the Cat Friendly Homing journey: the intake process, how to care for cats’ physical health and mental wellbeing and finding outcomes that best suit cats’ individual needs.
