How to Catch The Rainbow Trout In The Trout Lake with Spoon Lures

We were fishing for the rainbow trout at the trout lake. The day was sunny; the air temperature was about 5-7 degrees. These factors have contributed to the trout activity. It was vigorously hunting for fry around the lake bringing us joy by actively biting on the various fishing lures. Also, in spite of the strong wind as the fishing was carried downwind, the trout has not gathered on one side of the lake (it often happens during the wind trout tries to keep downwind) it had evenly distributed across the pond.

Basically that fishing day the trout bit at the dark and dark-silver ultra light trout spoon lures weight from 0.7 to 2.1 grams. We used the Ivyline and Nories Japanese firms’ hooks for trout fishing. In addition a few fishes have been caught on the soft silicone baits in the shape of nymphs and octopuses.

We practiced a very slow bait retrieve with a few breaks (a maximum of 1 second), and trout has been biting during the breaks as well as during the retrieving. The trout has been vigorously resisting while we were playing the fish which is characteristic of it, especially at higher feeding activity.

According to the distances of the fish bite when retrieving - they were of the close range (2-3 meters from the shore) and of the long range (15-20 meters from the shore).

Overall, more than fifteen trouts have been caught over about 5 hours of fishing.
