CWD: Brand New Autocar ACX McNeilus ZR Garbage Truck!

As the AutoReach has been CWD’s go-to body choice pretty much since it was invented, they finally decided to mix it up a little! Even after demoing a few different makes/models of refuse truck over the years, McNeilus is still the sole manufacturer the company is set on sticking with. CWD purchased their first ZR last year with the common Autocar ACX grille, but due to a delay of orders, their second one (as shown in the video) did not arrive until a couple months ago. Nonetheless, a shiny, spectacular unit now running recycle routes in Allen is just super convenient for alleys and also spillage.

(A little bit of background info, they actually had a Mack LEU ZR temporarily, but to my knowledge it was sold off a few years ago).

Anyway, now that there are 3 ZRs and counting, CWD is using them exclusively for recycling only because they pack a better load, and cardboard won’t get caught behind the arm which has always been a common problem for AutoReachs. The driver, Chris, is one of the lucky ones to get a brand-spanking new truck in the fleet, so I hope you guys enjoy watching it in action!
