When Nicholas Dodd left the Glimmerlight, he drifted across the English Channel and there he was recruited by Roy Whenary into one of the most powerful Sagegazer collectives - Dawn Awakening. There, amongst other classics, he recorded the Starlands series: His dream of the Offworld Colony and its environs where his brothers and sisters now dwelled.

1988's Starlands 2, the second of the trilogy, is the pinnacle. Utilizing the ultimate power of his Blue Crystal, his Serenity Stones, and various Yamahas and Oberheims, Dodd evoked a true vision of the stars and galaxies beyond time. The beautiful, angelic voices and floating piano sounds on side one perfectly complemented the richly orchestral sounds of side two.

The neon kingdom of the Glimmerlight crumbled to dust, its towers flickering out one by one (devoured by the Progbarian night). The Sagegazers fled - or lingered on Earth, to be reborn in the New Age.
