A tiny break in the endless rain gave me a chance for a H&F training circuit - trudge up Steel Fell, and fly back down.
Nothing unusual to report. The air was smooth. However, my usual landing strip in Dunmail Raise was submerged in a foot of water! The whole field seems to have transformed into a quagmire / marsh, with the recent bad weather. So I turned the glider uphill and attempted a downwind landing in a patch of grass, where there wasn't too much bracken. Better than nothing.
Classic Lake District conditions. Gently N breeze maybe 5mph.
