Paul Abbott, Grasmere. This is a collection of my hike & fly videos around my local valley, in England's Lake District. One day maybe i will fly further afield! 😂
I have ended up as "Grasmere Sites Officer" for the Cumbria Soaring Club, and also volunteer to help with some flying events locally:
- Lakes Charity Classic (June)
- X-Lakes Challenge (June)
- Grasmere Hike & Fly (August bank holiday Sunday)
My favourite event is the 1-day X-Lakes, which is a peak-bagging task where you can set your own route. My PB is 20 Wainwrights and 340 points (2025).
