How To Improve Synthesizer Sounds With Side Chain Reverb | Quick Tip

This video looks at how to improve synthesizer sounds by side chaining a reverb. Using a side chain compressor is an interesting way of how to apply a reverb to a synth and a very creative example of the use of side chain. Side chaining with a reverb allows the reverb sound to effectively ‘balloon’ beneath synthesizer sounds, without dominating the synth itself, and gives you many ways to experiment and find unique sounds.
