Prerequisites Before Performing This Procedure:
✔ Verify that the battery, encoder, and cables are in working condition.
✔ Check the motor’s nameplate – If it has a 12-bit encoder, it will be identified by a “W” as the 4th character after the dash in the motor model number.

Step-by-Step Process to Reset the Absolute Encoder:
1️⃣ Power on the drive while connected to the servo motor and let it sit for about 3 minutes.
2️⃣ Power down the machine and proceed to short the appropriate pins to reset the encoder positioning data.
3️⃣ Depending on the connector type, short the following pins:

Military connector removed from the motor encoder → Short R and S pins.
15-pin connector → Short pins 13 and 14.
12-pin connector → Short pins 9 and 12.
4️⃣ Hold the shorted connection for at least 30 seconds (even though the manual specifies a minimum of 3 seconds).
5️⃣ If the alarm persists, repeat the procedure multiple times, as it may take a few attempts for a successful reset.
