The opening sequence for the concert «HEX» was composed for this concert. The piece begins with a reading from the court records of the accused witch Maren Olsdatter, unfolding in three movements: The Witch’s Lament, Rising from the Ashes, and finally, The Fight Lives On.
A hymn and a battle cry for the women who were burned at the stake.
From the concert «HEX» - a musical journey through the 17th-century witch trials in Norway, featuring guest artists Anna Bariyani (Curawaka) and Lindy-Fay Hella (Wardruna). Held at Kulturkirken Jakob in Oslo on May 25th, 2025.
