A 3-million-gallon storage tank was built at the corner of Porter Mill and Riggin roads, near Hebron, Maryland. Located within a one-mile radius of at least 50 households. Listen as some of the Wicomico County residents describe the impact the tank's presence in their rural comunity has had on their daily lives as well as the condition of Riggin and Porter Mill roads after months of heavy tanker trucks have traveled the narrow country roads day and night. Listen, too, as Dr. Judith Stribling, professor emerita of Salisbury University explains some of the serious risks the tank poses to human and environmehtal health, including contamination of shared groundwater and aquifer as well as contamination of Rewastico Creek, the Nanticoke River and the Chesapeake Bay.
