Today I walk around Padangbai and answer a question I'm often asked about how I find the accommodation I do when I'm in Bali.
I start my day bargaining with a lady who sells bananas before thinking she didn't seem very happy - then I feel guilty for haggling over a small amount of money.
A warung I've eaten at many times has been rebuilt after a tree fell on it, causing the family to spend five and a half thousand dollars in rebuilding. the ladies tell their story before I have some of their food.
I meet a man with enlarged earlobes and ask him why he chooses to put rings in his ears to make them bigger with his explanation resonating with me.
A snorkeling operator chats for a while and we also meet a man catching worms on the beach to use as bait when he goes fishing.
This was a great walk around the beach of Padangbai.
