कापूस आयातीवरील ११ टक्के आयात शुल्क आता ३१ डिसेंबरपर्यंत वाढले आहे. त्यामुळे नव्या हंगामातील पहिल्या ३ महिन्यांमध्ये कापसाची आयात दुप्पट होण्याची शक्यता आहे. शेतकऱ्यांचाही कापूस याच काळात बाजारात येईल. त्यामुळे कापसाचे भाव जास्तच दबावात येणार आहेत. याचा फटका देशातील कापूस उत्पादकांना बसणार आहे. या परिस्थिती सरकारने शेतकऱ्यांचा पूर्ण कापूस हमीभावाने खरेदी करण्याची गरज आहे.

Farmers' cotton will also come into the market during this period. Due to this, cotton prices will come under more pressure. This will hit the cotton producers of the country. In this situation, the government needs to purchase the entire cotton of the farmers at the guaranteed price.
