We followed an awesome gravel road when we left Loeriesfontein. This road traverses the northern part of the Knersvlakte and heads west to Kliprand, a tiny community in the northernmost region of the Western Cape. We saw two bat-eared foxes, a steenbok and a mongoose on this road. Then we came across a railroad bridge on this gravel road, we've never seen one of those before! We had to stop and look around. Travelling further on this road, the R355, we saw beautiful rock formations and finally arrived at Kliprand. We quickly realised why they called it Kliprand, because of the numerous rocky outcrops in the area. The town was in the news in 2021 because more than half the population contracted COVID and the entire town was in isolation. All seems well now though. We had a quick chat to two of the locals and hit the road again! #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #southafricavlog #loeriesfontein #kliprand #knersvlakte
