Film of the 1960 5.5M Olympic trials, held at Marblehead, including weighing, numerous races, and cup presentations (to George O'Day & Ted Hood). The trials were won by O'Day in his Einar Ohlson-designed 'Wistful' (US 24), however she was damaged at the dock after the races by a motor boat. O'Day then purchased one of the stronger competitors in these races - 'Minotaur' (US 26), designed by his friend Ray Hunt - in which he went on to win the Rome Olympics (please see the films of the Olympic races we also have posted here).
