So what do you think of my goal to be able to have an hour-long conversation three months from now?
Right now, as I'm posting this video, I have a lot of passive knowledge of Russian. I told my teacher today that it's like trying to remember a dream. A lot of words and grammar structures are familiar. I might not remember exactly what a word means, but I remember that I knew what it meant some time in the past. I truly think this is the worst kind of useless information.
Can you imagine someone saying that they don't know the answer to your question, but that they knew it in the past? What a waste of time lol.
Anyway, I'm doing this because I really do want to practice what I preach. I'd like to start uploading videos here on my page regularly so I can see if I'm really making progress and so that I can know how you feel as a student.
Now that I'm starting the learning process over again, I have to admit that I'm a little frustrated that I didn't persevere. If I had continued learning and practicing until now, I'm sure I'd probably be at an intermediate level.
Oh well. Being sad because of choices I made in the past aren't going to help me move forward, action will.
