Foot and toe injuries are common among climbers and the majority are caused from poorly fitting climbing shoes. These injuries vary in severity and include pressure marks, subungual hematomas, splinter hemorrhages, cuts, bruises, dystrophic and infected nails, haglund deformities, dorsal calluses, hallux valgus and claw toes. Most of these injuries can be avoided by selecting proper fitting climbing shoes.
