The ktm 890 adventure r is tubeless system. There is a rubber gasket that stops the air escaping through the spokes fittings. There have been many cases on new bikes where the rubber gasket fails to seal. You can either take it back to dealer for warranty repair if available or you can do it yourself. It costs $50 for a new gasket, i damaged the valve when i was removing it, it was stuck and wouldn’t budge. So i installed a new valve body also, $27.
The process is easy but time consuming in order to do the job correctly. I cleaned the wheel thoroughly, specially inside the grooves where the gasket seals, and to install i used tire lube.
The process of taking old gasket out and install the new took me 45 mins. That doesn’t include taking wheel off, tire off and install tire, balance and install wheel. The whole process from start to finish took me 2.5 hours. I installed new tire while i had the wheel out, the new tire was a bitch to put on😁🤦♂️.
